[Article] In the last few years, “Dubna” University has been actively developing its Virtual Learning Environment due to the fact that online teaching and assessment is an increasingly desirable method for enhancing student learning in Higher Education. Moreover, the sanitary situation of 2020-2021 resulted in a number of new approaches and computer-assisted teaching techniques to master the pronunciation of a foreign language. The article reports on the “Connected Speech Processes” online course, its design and development, as well as its integration and the achieved learning outcomes.

While the campaign for educational reform was seen, within the context of the Industrial Revolution and the growing feminist movement, as a key to freedom, improvements in female education were also met with resistance.

We have to understand what education implies. To educate means to pull out of the other. There’s a pulling, there’s a little violence. I’m sure that education does take place without authority, if we understand by that a certain, measurable, examinable, testable level of acquisition and performance. However if you want to truly inspire, to accelerate and quicken and enliven the pulse of the student body, then authority would probably be an important premise.
