[Conférence] As part of the training programme "Approfondir ses connaissances - Enseignement de spécialité Anglais LLCER" organized by the EAFC in Grenoble, this lecture gives an overview of Shakespeare's career as a playwright and the way he used prose and poetry in his plays. This talk also highlights a few examples of contemporary adaptations of the Shakespearean canon.
