Bill Cosby sued for alleged under-age sexual abuse

Bill Cosby is being sued for sexual assault by a woman who says the US comedian molested her when she was 15.
Judy Huth's lawsuit alleges that Cosby molested her at the Playboy mansion in Los Angeles in 1974 and told her to lie about her age.
Cosby's lawyer had no immediate comment on the accusation.
Cosby, 77, has faced a series of renewed allegations that he drugged and sexually assaulted more than a dozen women.
He has not been charged in connection with any of the allegations, which his lawyers have described as "discredited" and "defamatory".
Ms Huth's lawsuit says she and a 16-year-old friend met Mr Cosby on a film set and were later invited to his tennis club, where they were given alcohol before being taken to the Playboy mansion.

More women detail sex abuse claims against Bill Cosby
Staff (The Chicago Tribune)
Three women on Wednesday came together and detailed allegations that comedian Bill Cosby sexually abused and groped them decades ago, a day after Cosby was sued by a woman who said he molested her when she was a teenager in 1974.
More than a dozen women have publicly accused the comedian of sexual abuse as far back as the 1960s as the allegations have scuttled Cosby's television projects and led to cancellations of numerous comedy performances, including two gigs in suburban New York that were scheduled for Saturday.
The women, one who says she was 17 at the time of her encounter with Cosby, each sobbed while reading statements at a news conference organized by celebrity attorney Gloria Allred, who is known for her aggressive posture on women's issues.

Gloria Allred has 'lost count' of the number of Bill Cosby accusers who have contacted her
Hollie McKay (Fox News)
LOS ANGELES – Three women who claim they were sexually victimized by Bill Cosby appeared alongside attorney Gloria Allred at a Wednesday afternoon press conference in Los Angeles, Calif. They were just a few of the many, many women Allred said have contacted her.
“I have literally lost count,” Allred said.
Allred proposed two options for Bill Cosby to address the multiple accusations that he drugged and/or sexually assaulted scores of women over the past several decades.
Due to most states’ statutes of limitations, she said many alleged victims are not able to file a lawsuit. So Allred called on Cosby to voluntarily waive the statutes of limitations so that either justice could be served, or he could clear his name.

Cosby and the Philadelphia-based university confirmed the resignation Monday afternoon with brief statements.
"I have always been proud of my association with Temple University. I have always wanted to do what would be in the best interests of the university and its students. As a result, I have tendered my resignation from the Temple University Board of Trustees," Cosby said.
