New Zealand PM says tooth fairy and Easter bunny are 'essential workers'

New Zealand's Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern on Monday declared children's favorites the Easter Bunny and the Tooth Fairy to be essential workers.
That means they can carry on with their work while others stay at home during a month-long lockdown to battle to coronavirus pandemic.
However, Ardern warned that due to the virus the Easter Bunny may not make it to everyone's homes so has called on children to create their own Easter egg hunt for others to follow.

New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern has reassured children that both the Easter Bunny and the Tooth Fairy are considered essential workers in the coronavirus lockdown.
"You'll be pleased to know that we do consider both the Tooth Fairy and the Easter Bunny to be essential workers," Ardern said in response to a question asked at a media briefing on the country's official COVID-19 response on Monday.
