Wet prospects for Ascot and Wimbledon

As the country recovers from a weekend of high winds and heavy rain, most parts of Britain will have sunny spells on the first day of Royal Ascot tomorrow and Wednesday but conditions will take a turn for the worse by Thursday.“It’s going to go downhill overnight on Wednesday and will get quite wet,” Mark Seltzer of the Met Office said.
“There will be strong gusts of wind from the South West and temperatures will fall.”
The poor weather will continue into Friday and the forecast for the championship at the All England Club next week is unsettled with a chance of rain.
