UK weather: It will be even hotter by the end of the week

Forecasters said temperatures should hit 27C (80F) at the end of the week, easily beating the year’s high of 23.8C (75F) recorded on May 7.The heat is forecast to continue into Saturday although showers and unsettled weather could threaten parts of the country next week.
Brian Gaze, from The Weather Outlook, said: “Temperatures will rise and I’d not be surprised to see 27C by the weekend.”
Met Office forecaster Dan Williams was slightly more cautious but still predicted “glorious sunshine” lasting into next week.
