"Deep reductions in the TA will be among several controversial cuts debated today by David Cameron's National Security Council.
"Liam Fox, the Defence Secretary, will today present the council with options for cuts in the Armed Forces that have emerged from the Strategic Defence and Security Review.
"The review, conducted as Dr Fox tries to reduce the defence budget by almost a fifth, is considering a range of painful and controversial cuts across Britain's military forces."
