Rihanna's visit is Barrington High's chance to sparkle, parents and students say

If Rihanna's public persona — risque tunes and tweets, apparent enthusiasm for marijuana, troubled relationship with Chris Brown — is giving any Barrington High School parents pause about her visit to the school, they're being a lot more shy about it than she is.
Parents and students at the northwest suburban school say the high-profile visit Friday should be seen less as a celebration of the pop star than of the charitable efforts of local teens.
"Obviously, she's definitely someone you see on TMZ, but she's not coming to say, 'This is me, Rihanna,'" said sophomore Natalie Laudick, 16. "It's more, 'This is me recognizing what you've done.'"
