Charles Morris, who became friends with the Prince after meeting him at Sandringham, has designed a “garden room” for the nine-bedroom Anmer Hall, which will be gifted to the Duke and Duchess by the Queen.Mr Morris, whose great-great-grandfather Sir John Kelk built the Royal Albert Hall, will also supervise the re-routing of the mansion’s main driveway to give the couple more privacy and the conversion of outbuildings for use by their security staff.
Mr Morris, who is based in Norfolk, built the Orchard Room for the Prince of Wales at Highgrove in 1998, which is now used for official entertaining.
