June on course to be wettest in a century - but rain to clear for start of Wimbledon
Nick CollinsFlooding, storms and persistent showers have blighted the country in recent weeks putting this June in line to become one of the soggiest in 100 years.
But the start of Wimbledon will coincide with a week of drier conditions as the rainclouds clear over much of the country and temperatures rise to the mid twenties.
The only risk of rain at SW19 on Monday is from the briefest of showers which could materialise during the afternoon, but these would be unlikely to hold up play for long, forecasters said.
