Despite the sluggish economy, most Illinois voters approve of Barack Obama's handling of the presidency and the president appears poised for a general election victory in his home state this fall, a new Tribune/WGN-TV poll shows. Though the interviews were conducted nine months before the Nov. 6 general election, the poll's findings suggest Illinois largely will be flyover territory for the Democratic incumbent and his GOP challenger during the fall campaign, except for an occasional fundraising appearance. Instead, Obama and the GOP nominee likely will be seen more frequently in battleground states such as Wisconsin, Iowa, Michigan and Ohio. Read on...Pour citer cette ressource :
