The Prime Minister issued the warning as he set to make the case for reform in Brussels to three of Europe's most powerful leaders – Angela Merkel, the German chancellor, Francois Hollande, the French president, and Mariano Rajoy, the Spanish prime minister.It is his first major European tour since he promised that his party would seek to repatriate powers from Brussels and hold a referendum on EU membership in the next parliament.
During the trip, he will seek to reassure his fellow leaders that the “best outcome” for Britain is membership of a reformed EU, amid fears that the UK is drifting apart from Brussels.
