O.J. Simpson skips media with early release
Laurel J. Sweet (Boston Herald, 02/10/2017)
O.J. Simpson, freed from prison after midnight yesterday in a move that let him dodge a media circus, will be moving to Las Vegas, a state prison official said.
Simpson, 70, was released at 12:08 a.m. yesterday — a day ahead of schedule — from the desolate Lovelock Correctional Center in Nevada.
A Nevada parole official said last night Simpson plans to live at a home in the Las Vegas area for the foreseeable future. State Parole and Probation Capt. Shawn Arruti said the disgraced football hero and celebrity criminal defendant has one approved residential plan, and it doesn’t currently include a move to Florida or any other state. Cook has been representing the survivors of Ron Goldman for more than a decade. He is working to collect on the multimillion-dollar jury verdict they and the Brown family were awarded after a 1996 civil jury found Simpson responsible for the deaths of Goldman and Nicole Brown Simpson, the athlete's former wife.

When I walked through the living room in the house where I’d been sent to live with an aunt, where the television was constantly tuned to Court TV, I kept seeing the bloody tiles in front of Nicole’s door.
