The missing teenager Megan Stammers' school was aware of concerns about her relationship with her teacher before she ran away with him to France, it was claimed last night.A spokesman for East Sussex County Council confirmed that an "investigation was ongoing when she went missing". He added: "The school, in conjunction with the county council and the police, had been addressing concerns that had been raised on this matter."
Megan's fellow pupils reported the concerns to teachers months ago, according to the Daily Mail, yet police were allegedly told of the affair only last week.
