  • Alice Borrego has received her PhD from the Université Paul Valéry - Montpellier 3 in 2023 and is a former student of the Ecole Normale Supérieure de Lyon. In her thesis, “The aesthetics of fragmentation in state-of-the-nation novels of the 20th and 21st centuries”, she showed how the increasingly fragmented genre stands as an ethical critique of English society. She is co-organising the “Invisible Lives, Silent Voices” International Seminar as an associate researcher with EMMA (Études Montpelliéraines du Monde Anglophone), together with Héloïse Lecomte (ENS de Lyon), Gero Guttzeit (LMU Münich) and Esther Peeren (University of Amsterdam).
